Permanent Drug Drop Off at Barnstable PD

Over 88% of the population in my son's school qualify for free/reduced lunch because of the poverty level in Hyannis. When people clean out their cupboards, they need to be able to get rid of all their unused/expired medications. If they are not able to get rid of them quickly & conveniently, the probability is that they will:
1.)dispose of them improperly further contaminating our water supply
2.)someone may steal them/use them improperly
3.)sell them if they come upon hard times/financial difficulties
4.)they will end up in our kids hands, on our streets.

We should follow the lead of the Yarmouth PD & get our own drug drop off kiosk in Barnstable. We need to get unused prescription drugs out of people's cupboards and cabinets BEFORE they end up on our streets.
