How could the Town of Barnstable better keep our residents informed about such events and offerings?
Let Barnstable residents know the Town of Barnstable is listening!
Why isn't there a lot more dialogue on these important issues?

Several VERY major long-range challenges will soon be faced by all Barnstable residents and businesses. Among the many are; 1) protection of fresh water sources, 2) efficient waste disposal management, removal and recycling, 3) serious review of the current Town Charter to determine what form of government is most appropriate now, 4) balancing year-round employment needs with our seasonal economy, 5) the potential impact of the expanding role of County Government on Town operations and autonomy, 6) long-range protection of our many critical ocean waterfront and saltmarsh resources, and well, I could go on and on... My real question is; why are we not all totally involved in debating and hammering out real acceptable long-term solutions to these many known challenges? Are we content to simply allow our elected and appointed officials to do whatever they think is most appropriate? I know they would welcome our participation. The iForum is a great opportunity to voice opinions, but why are we not using it a lot more?
